Birches swept a NORCO Legion playoff play-in series against Nazareth with a 6-0 victory.
Brandon Ratti tossed a complete game for Birches, scattering six hits over seven innings while striking out four and allowing just two walks.
Birches scored all six runs in the bottom of the second inning. Dallas Greenzweig was 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and a run scored. Nate Loch (2-for-4, RBI, run scored), Zach Walters (run scored) and Nate Mostosky (RBI, run scored) all doubled in the win.
Birches won the first game of the series, 1-0.

A pair of runs in the top of the sixth inning lifted Northern Valley to a 9-8 victory over Moore Township in a Lehigh Valley Connie Mack contest.
Erik Mather’s one-out single scored Shaun O’Donnell to tie it. Wesley George followed and grounded out to plate Sam Mauro, who advanced to third base on a wild pitch, for the go-ahead run.
Mather doubled and finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs, while Mauro collected two hits and scored three times. John Meltsch had a hit and drove in a pair of runs for the Chargers (9-5).
Sam Erschen (triple, run scored), Dylan Fosko (double, two runs scored) and Owen Laury (two RBIs, run scored) all had two hits apiece for the Redhawks.

Franklin Township rebounded from a tough loss with a 14-8 win over East Stroudsburg in Lehigh Valley Connie Mack play.
Ian Rarick was 3-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and three runs scored for Franklin (13-4), which fell 13-1 to Moore Township on Tuesday. Talan Sensinger had two hits, including a double, with an RBI, a run scored and two stolen bases.
Michael Yeakel (three RBIs, run scored) and Brady O’Donnell (two runs scored, RBI) also added two hits for the winners, while Cameron Gable finished with two RBIs, a run scored and four stolen bases.
Franklin closes out its regular season against NW Bethlehem before beginning postseason play.

Jim Thorpe pulled away for a 10-6 victory over Central Catholic in a Lehigh Valley Connie Mack contest.
Jack Edwards was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored for Thorpe, which scored twice in the bottom of the fifth inning and three times in the sixth. Chip Baldassano (two runs scored) and Rich Strack (double, RBI, two runs scored) both collected a pair of hits in the win. Adam Romanchik also had a double and a run scored.
